Have you ever wanted to meet Penguins? SEA LIFE Melbourne now offers an exclusive behind the scenes Penguin Encounter! Book online here for your chance to meet and interact with these friendly and curious Penguins. The 45 minute program involves a behind the scenes tour of the food preparation areas and veterinarian facilities before you step out onto the ice for a very special encounter with King and Gentoo Penguins. This exclusive experience is only available to 4 people at one time. The Penguin Encounter at SEA LIFE Melbourne is run everyday at 2pm and entry to the aquarium is included so you may stay on longer and see all the other marine life on display here. Note
You must not come into contact with birds 24 hours prior to your Penguin Passport experience
- If you experience Flu/Cold/Gastro/Respiration infection within 48 hours of your experience, you will need to call us to reschedule
- No jewellery, watches, mobile phones or cameras can be taken on tour
- You MUST wear/bring socks on the day of your experience. Failure to do this may result in the tour being cancelled

Time
- Operates Monday - Sunday at 2:00pm
- You are required to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your tour departure
Duration
- The experience is approximately 45 minutes long
- You will have access to explore the rest of the Aquarium for the entire day if you wish
What To Bring
- Dress in warm clothing - this is the best foundation for the ski suits
- Arctic gear is provided but please bring your own socks
- Cameras and video equipment are NOT allowed on ice
- Jewellery and hair accessories are NOT allowed onto the ice
Additional Information
- This is an exclusive experience only allowing 4 people at a time in the enclosure and with the penguins
- Participants must be willing and able to navigate a staircase.
- Minimum age 14 (Guests Under 16 must be accompanied by a paying adult (18+)
- This product is not refundable or transferable and will incur a 100% cancellation fee
- Due to reduced pram capacity, guests must pre-book spaces online to take children's prams inside SEA LIFE Melbourne. This is to ensure a safe and accessible attraction for all guests requiring the use of lifts. Please book your Pram Reservation for the same timeslot as your admission tickets to avoid disappointment. See link here
