Exclusions

• Food & Drinks - We always stop along the way, where you can purchase some take away food for your lunch. If you’ve got special dietary requirements, consider bringing your own.

• Accommodation – Generally you will need 2 nights x Hobart & 2 nights x Launceston, this is by your own arrangement. We pick up and drop off to select Hobart/Launceston central city Hotels. Check with our Reservations team for hotel details.

• Luggage – Please only bring hand luggage/a day pack on tour, otherwise we won’t all fit! Tours that travel between Hobart and Launceston, we allow for 1 x check-in sized bag and a day pack. If you have excess luggage, please let our team know before travelling.

Day 1: Port Arthur & Tasmanian Devils

Departs Hobart at 7.30am, Returns Hobart 6.00pm Overnight: Hobart (accommodation by own arrangement)

Day 1 Highlights

• Visit Port Arthur Historic Site *Explore the Tasmanian Devil Unzoo
• Experience the ferocious action of a Tasmanian Devil feeding!
• Photograph spectacular views from the Waterfall Bay Cliff Top Walk
• See the Tasman National Park highlights–Devils Kitchen & Tasman Arch
• Enjoy the stories from Pirates Bay Lookout, Eaglehawk Neck & The “Dogline”
• Visit historic Richmond Village

Day 2: Hobart to Launceston via Wineglass Bay & Freycinet National Park Departs Hobart 7.30am, Returns Launceston 6.30pm (bring your bags today!) Overnight: Launceston (accommodation by own arrangement)

Day 2 Hightlights

• Explore Freycinet National Park
• Wineglass Bay Lookout walk
• Optional: extend your walk to Wineglass Bay Beach
• Visit beautiful Honeymoon Bay
• Take in the spectacular views on the Cape Tourville Lighthouse Walk
• Visit Devils Corner Winery-seafood, wine, pizza, ice-cream

Day 3: Cradle Mountain World Heritage Area Departs Launceston 7.30am, Returns Launceston 6.00pm

Day 3 Highlights

• Explore Cradle Mountain National Park (4-5 hours)
• Stand on the shore of the spectacular setting of Dove Lake
• Enjoy an easy, guided introductory walk to Pencil Pine Falls
• Take on the Dove Lake Circuit walk (Easy, 6km’s, 2-3 hours)
• Or, take on the harder walk to Marion’s Lookout (medium, 3 hours)
• Explore the historic Weindorfers Chalet
• Visit Sheffield the ‘Town of Murals’ an outdoor art gallery
• Enjoy a delicious stop at Van Dieman’s Land Ice Creamery & Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm.

Time

• Tour departs from the Tasmanian Travel & Information Centre at 20 Davey Street, Hobart. Please be ready for pick up at this location at 7.25am
• The tour departs Monday & Wednesday
• Returning to Launceston on Day 3 at 6.00pm

What To Bring

• A day backpack
• Refillable water bottle
• Closed, sturdy shoes for walking (runners, sneakers, hiking boots)
• Sensible clothes for outdoor conditions (warm layers are a great idea!)
• A waterproof jacket, just in case.
• A sunhat and beanie
• A sense of adventure!
• Optional: Swimmers and a towel. There’s an opportunity for a refreshing dip on our Wineglass Bay Tour
